Chu Tao is 'the way to become a monarch', i.e. the art of ruling. Each individual faculty of philosophy has its tao, its doctrine of the way by which lifestyle should be ordered. Finally in a certain faculty of philosophy whose followers arrived being termed Taoists, tao intended 'how the universe is effective'; and eventually one thing incredibly
